Indian Council for Child Welfare is a voluntary organization working for the welfare of children in the State of Tamil Nadu, India. The focus of its tsunami related activities is re-establishing normalcy in the lives of affected children by ensuring their basic needs of nutrition, healthcare and education while strengthening and supporting communities in rebuilding their homes and livelihood. Priority assistance is for orphaned/single parent and traumatized children identified for specialized intervention.
Organisation aims and activities: To Ensure children their basic human rights. Their programmes are early childhood care, direct interventions programmes of child labour, child abuse, child beggary and other forms of child exploitation, training child care workers , dissemination of child related information and documentation and research.
